Policy
The Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission Agreement, 2000 empowers the ECSRC to:
- co-operate with and assist other regulatory authorities that are concerned with securities or with operations of companies;
- consult and co-operate with the ECCB or any other agency that exercises regulatory authority under any enactment over a financial institution, insurance company or other body in order to minimise the duplication of effort, to maximise the protection of investors and the interest of the public;
- co-operate with any agency of a foreign government in connection with the investigation of a contravention of the Act or any similar written law whether the activities in question occurred within or outside of a Member Territory; and
- co-operate in the work of national, regional or international organisations dealing with the regulation of securities markets.
