Revocation of Broker-Dealer Licence of RBC Merchant Bank (Caribbean) Ltd

The public is hereby notified that effective 3 May 2018, the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission (ECSRC) has revoked the broker-dealer licence (No. TT-BD-0006-11) of RBC Merchant Bank (Caribbean) Limited, as the company has ceased to hold itself out as carrying on the business of a licensed broker-dealer in the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market (ECSM).

 

The decision to revoke the company’s licence is pursuant to Section 65(4) of the Securities Act Chapter S13 of Anguilla; Section 66 (4) of the Securities Act No. 14 of 2001 of Antigua and Barbuda; Section 66 (4) of the Securities Act No. 21 of 2001 of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Section 66 (4) of the Securities Act No. 23 of 2001 of Grenada; Section 66 (4) of the Securities Act Chapter 11.01 of Montserrat, Section 66 (4) of the Securities Act Chapter 21.16 of St Kitts and Nevis; Section 66 (4) of the Securities Act Chapter 12.18 of St Lucia; and Section 66 (4) of the Securities Act Chapter 261 of St Vincent and The Grenadines.

 

The Licence is cancelled and cannot be used to transact securities business within the ECSM.
