Appointments to the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission

At the 66th Meeting of the Monetary Council held on 5 March 2010, Mr Errol Allen of St Vincent and the Grenadines was appointed Chairman of the Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission (ECSRC), replacing Mr Calvin Rodgers, CCM of Antigua and Barbuda. Mr Arthur Thomas of Antigua and Barbuda was appointed Deputy Chairman. Both positions are for a period of five years.

Two new commissioners Mrs Lucia Livingston-Andall of Grenada and Mr Vincent Richards of Antigua and Barbuda were appointed for three years, joining Mr Sylvester who was re-appointed later in the year on 19 October 2010, serving another three year term. Mr Crispin Sorhaindo of the Commonwealth of Dominica did not re-new his contract.

Ms Sharon Welcome was appointed Secretary to the Commission on 1 October 2010, replacing Mr Kennedy Byron.

The Eastern Caribbean Securities Regulatory Commission (ECSRC) is the regulatory body for the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market (ECSM). The primary functions of the Commission are to maintain the integrity of the ECSM; protect investors; promote market efficiency; and facilitate market development.
